Christmas Eucharist
On Tuesday, January 9th, 2013, SMA
Stella Duce 1 Yogyakarta held a Christmas Eucharist at “St. Antonius†Catholic
Church of Kotabaru, Yogyakarta. That Eucharist was held in English. The celebrant
of the Eucharist was Father Henrikus Asodo, OMI, the rector of OMI High
Seminary of Yogyakarta. In the homily Father Asodo said, “We thank God that
December 21st, 2012, was not the end of the day. We must believe
only in God. Don’t believe in the statements that made people afraid. We can
learn from ‘the Visitors from the East’. They believed in the sign given by
God: the shining star. They believed that the star would lead them to the new
born King.†(AH)
